The included remote provides easy access to vital functions. It has dedicated hardware controls for photo and video capture, gimbal pitch control, sensitive flight control sticks and dedicated Return To Home and customizable buttons.* Additionally, an internal, rechargeable 6,000mAh battery lets you fly longer and makes charging easy and quick.

Intelligent, Dynamic Transmission

Lightbridge 2 is intelligent. It automatically adapts in real time to keep latency low while maintaining a strong signal. For uninterrupted transmission, a high-speed processor chooses the best channel and bandwidth based on current distance and electromagnetic environment.


When using the DJI GO app, you can choose to maximize video quality or focus on lower latency, and manually change to your desired transmission channel.

Transmit the same live HD view wirelessly to several devices by connecting multiple remote controllers in Master-Slave mode. Lightbridge 2 supports a range of professional-level DJI products. This means that you can build your custom system out of parts that work perfectly together, because they were designed to. If you have an existing system based on the previous version of Lightbridge, or are currently using a analog or WiFi-based video downlink, you can easily upgrade to the Lightbridge 2.

Output full HD video to almost any type of display – mobile phones and tablets, desktop displays and TVs can all receive live video output. You can even output video to several devices simultaneously through a combination of ports, either USB and 3G-SDI, or USB and mini-HDMI.


Dual Video Stream

Lightbridge 2 can transmit video from two cameras simultaneously: the main camera used to capture video and photographs, and a second camera showing the First Person View (FPV).


Output a Picture-In-Picture view via mini-HDMI or HD-SDI to a TV or other external display, where the FPV is layered with the main camera view. The views and controls are completely independent so that the gimbal control will not affect the pilot view or the aircraft’s navigation, and vice versa.

According to the specs, the frequencies are:
  • 920.6 MHz ~ 928 MHz (Japan)
  • 5.725 GHz ~ 5.825 GHz
  • 2.400 GHz ~ 2.483 GHz
Are these user selectable? If it is user selectable, than we can have two Lightbridge system on a single copter?

2.4ghz is used for video and control to and from aircraft.. 5.8ghz is used between main tx and camera operator tx, (in Japan they use 900mhz between controllers instead of 5.8ghz)

Anyone seen any prices for the 2nd controller for camera opp yet ?
 

With less switches on the tx, I presume if I buy this for my S900 / A2 / Zen gh4 that the IOC is controlled through the DJI Go app? would that include follow me and waypoint does anyone know?

Will this one... Work ? Seems idiotic to plug and SDI cable to the back of a radio, why not a nice receiver ?

I have been trying to get a Lightbridge 2 working on an S900 with an A2 and Zenmuse Z15N

The LB2 has an integrated Lightbridge built into a tx with a small air unit.

The air unit connects to the A2 via SBUS and Canbus.. on an HD Zenmuse gimbal . all the control is over the canbus.. for older gimbals you have four ports on the A2 that you can map to direct output PWM channels... or three if you are using gear.

The LB2 is designed to powered from an HD Zenmuse gimbal.. so if you use it on something else you need to make a custom cable and feed it 12v.. unlike the LB1 which you could power from 6S

Unfortunately on the older zenmuse gimbals.. you just cant map enough channels to control it... not to mention configure the buttons on the LB2 transmitter.. which are mostly momentary..

LB2 would work well on a Zenmuse GoPro gimbal.. where you would only need tilt and nothing else...

So if you are thinking of buying one.. make sure you have an A2 and a HD Zenmuse gimbal.. if not forget it.

One major failing for me at the moment with LB2 is lack of IOC..

Typical DJI... release half baked untested products and get the masses to do it for them...

I would stay clear of LB2 until it matures..
