Slowing everything down.

Hi all. I have a DJI F450 with Naza Lite controller and a Devo 10. It occurred to me last night, just before I flew into a tree, that whilst I'm still learning, it might help to slug the controls a bit, so that I don't get into panic situations. Most of my accidents happen when I'm wildly thrashing about with the sticks, trying to gain control and over compensating. I think I'd be better if the sticks had less effect. It would also help with panning shots not spinning around.
So how would I reduce the response an all of the axes? Is it just a case of reducing the gain?
Thanks
Andrew

Exponential inside your radio will slow the response to the sticks down. There should be a menu page inside the radio that has the ability to create an expo curve which will mellow the sticks nearer the center - but still allow more accurate control toward the outside of the stick throw.
