For anyone interested, Phantom 3 preorders are now live on Amazon. They are quoting a May 15 release.

Personally, I ordered the 1080p 60p Advanced model (I'm still not sure whether I need 4k).

I have the Sony X1000V Action Cam that uses the same 4k sensor as the P3 Pro. I tried it today with my Phantom 1.1.1.

While the 4k resolution is nice, I've decided to stick with 1080p 60p and the Phantom 3 Advanced. I really like the 60p frame rate (makes for easy smooth slow mo) and most of my material will be delivered in 1080p anyway. While someday I may transition to 4k, I guess it won't happen this year.
